POLICE - TRAINING & SEMINARS
DTL provides the following training to the police service, authorised by the Association of Chief Police Officers and the Department for Transport. DTL carries its own BS EN 9001:2000 certificate, as required by the accredited principles of training.
National Drug Drive Instructors Course
The National Drug Recognition Training and Field Impairment Testing (DRT/FIT) Instructors course, is a UK standard of training which we have provided since 2000.
DARCON Training Ltd is the only company outside the police service authorised to supply this training and consists of a 5 day residential course. The training includes:
Legal and Procedural aspects of drug driving
Field Impairment Testing
Drugs and Physiology
National Drugs Issues
Drug Influence Recognition
The course authorises police officers to train the 2 day practitioners course only and is therefore only open to SERVING POLICE OFFICERS or TEMPORARY/FULL TIME POLICE TRAINING STAFF.

Forces who wish to train a number of officers should contact us to arrange for local delivery of training at a venue of their choice. Costs are subject to local negotiation.
National Drug Drive Practitioners Course
The course can usually be run in force and are non residential. Multi-force courses will be run as a residential course at a Midlands location as the situation demands:-
Minimum attendance 10, Maximum attendance 20
